Currently my C64 network idea is a ring design, using ordinary wires
between CIA#1 serial port on one machine to CIA#2 serial port on the
next. You take a 3.5mm stereo headphone extension lead, cut it in two and
solder the wires to GND, CNT1, SP1 and GND, CNT2, SP2 of a user port
connector. Each machine requires one of these leads, and you connect them
up together in a ring.

Ground connects to Pin 1 (GND)
R connects to Pin 4 (CNT1)
L connects to Pin 5 (SP1)

This one is in Reality a Socket, better Picture is coming soon
Ground connects to Pin 1 (GND)
R connects to Pin 6 (CNT2)
L connects to Pin 7 (SP2)
